What is Passive Income?

Passive Income can be defined as income received on a regular basis, with little effort required to maintain it.

My ultimate goal with this website is to enlighten the readers who stumble upon this blog, like you, and show you how passive income is absolutely possible for anybody and everybody – no matter your life situation. There are 3 main types of passive income – and if the first 2 are not a part of your financial life plan, then you are truly doing something wrong.

My ultimate goal for myself is to create as much passive income for myself and for my family as I possibly can. Of the 3 main types of passive income – I already have the first 2 covered. I am now obsessively working on the 3rd type of passive income. An abundant lifestyle is my ultimate goal, and creating extra monthly cash flow with passive income is the way that I am achieving it.

I started this blog in May 2012. At that time, I had been dabbling with blogging for several months, and I was unsuccessfully trying to make money online. Eventually, I started to figure some things out, and a little bit of money started to roll in. I used this Dumb Passive Income blog as a place to chronicle my journey as I taught myself how to make money online.
