The History

On this day, in 1920…

Mazda was originally founded on January 30, 1920 as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co. Ltd. in Hiroshima, Japan. The company started as a manufacturer of cork, but later changed its name to Mazda and shifted its focus to automobiles.
