The Content
Well… I’m back at it again. I’ve decided to publicly challenge myself to get my blog earnings to $5k/month by Labor Day 2023 (Monday, Sep 04, 2023). I made my challenge public via Twitter earlier this week…
I’m super-excited about this challenge. And yes, this new daily newsletter is part of the plan! I don’t yet know if I’ll be able to actually follow through with publishing content in a newsletter every single day. But, I do have a plan and the pieces are coming together.

The Humanity
A small town in Alabama is honoring a farmer and US air force veteran, Hody Childress, who paid off his neighbors’ pharmacy bills for years and kept his generosity a secret until shortly before his recent death. He began his anonymous charitable campaign when he walked into a drug store in his home town of Geraldine in 2012 and learned from the owner that sometimes families can’t afford to pay for their medicines. And so, moved by the plight of his neighbors, he started to donate $100 a month to the store to help pay for prescriptions for those who couldn’t afford them, and the community is now continuing his legacy by picking up where he left off. The History
On this day, in 1986… The Space Shuttle Challenger lifts off on January 28, 1986, with Christa McAuliffe on board, who was to become the first ordinary civilian to travel into space. Tragically, 73 seconds into the flight, the Challenger exploded, killing all 7 crew members on board. (Read the full story here)
